(FISH) NATHAN FISH (1748-ca. 1811) and His Wife, Betsey Kinney/ Kenney, Early Settlers of Starks, Maine and Their Descendants Volume 1. 244 pages, hard cover, smyth sewn, every name index, maps, original documents, over 40 photos. 2004. This volume follows Nathan's family from Groton, MA to Mason, NH. It includes interesting episodes involving the Fish in Mason, which were gleaned from the original town records now housed in the NH State Archives. It documents Nathan's action in the Revolutionary War and tracks him to Ballstown, ME, where he and brother Simeon farmed together before he moved on to the frontier of Starks. This volume carries Nathan and Betsey's family down through four generations. We see how the Industrial Revolution drew many of the families to the cities to work in the mills. There are quite a few 17th century Indian deeds, treaties, captive lists, and other illustrations of importance.
