Henry R. Stiles' work on the genealogies of the families which settled these six Connecticut towns in the early 17th century was first published in a much smaller edition in 1859. Thirty-four years of intensive research by Stiles then produced the monumental two-volume work, of which this second volume contains the compiled genealogies. It is difficult to conceive of a genealogical or historical library, public or private, of any size, which would not contain this set. This volume is a real boon to all researchers.
