11 original Kirchenbücher, all of which are held by Staatsarchiv des
Kantons Bern, which also owns the copyright to all of them. The 11
Kirchenbücher of Kirchgemeinde Rüschegg include the records of the Gemeinde Rüschegg. See Kiechgemeinde Guggisberg for records before 1818. Deaths 1817-1859 are in Kirchgemeinde Guggisberg KB #27. Staatsarchiv Bern has duplicated all 11 Kirchenbücher on 4 rolls
of microfilm. It is these 4 rolls of microfilm which, with the assistance
of Staatsarchiv des Kantons Bern, we have digitized here on CD-Rom in easy to use PDF format. These CDs have the Adobe abilities to enlarge the images, etc., but the CDs are not printable. However, printed copies of individual pages are available for those who have purchased CDs at a cost of $2.50 per page plus p&h. Also included on the CD is a map of Switzerland showing Canton bounderies, a map of Canton Bern showing the location of the Gemeinde, a foreword, bookmarks to each separate churchbook, and a list of Geschlechter for this Gemeinde.
