Between the years 1913 and 1926 John Francis Sprague published his quarterly magazine containing scholarly articles relating to Maine history, genealogy, geography and many other subjects. Over 300 Maine families were discussed in the genealogies.
Much of this material covers families in the Piscataquis County, Maine area for which there are few published sources available.
Mr. Sprague was a self-educated man who rose from a poor family to become an attorney and a legislator. The publication of his journal unfortunately came to an abrupt end when he took his own life.
Due to the number of magazines contained in this collection, it has been deemed best to publish this in CD-ROM format, thereby making it more readily available to everyone in Adobe® Acrobat format. Acrobat is also included on the CD, if you do not already have a copy.
