Here is yet another book of vital records for a Knox County town.
South Thomaston separated from Thomaston in 1848 at the same time as East Thomaston (later the city of Rockland).
While these records start later than many town vital records (as do Rockland's records), Marlene has continued her transcription of these records to the end of 1921 (when Owls Head separated to become a town of its own). There are even a few deaths after this date noted in the early family registers.
Also included are delayed records of birth after 1892 covering events occurring prior to that date.
Researchers seeking records for Knox county should find this book to be of great help, along with the Vital Records of Rockland, Maine #1965.
